Kimberlie Starnes & Family

Good day friends and family. On Thursday August 31, Kimberlie Starnes suffered what was initially diagnosed as a stroke in her brain stem. This  has left her unable to swallow and has affected her balance so that she has great difficulty walking.  The diagnosis has changed recently, and they are uncertain what has caused this neurological event. The neurologists believe she will eventually recover, but currently she is at St Michaels in Texarkana. The rehab procedure will be long and expensive. Kimberlie is a 3rd grade teacher for TISD, and her husband David Starnes is a PE coach for TISD. Kimberlie will need someone with her constantly over the coming weeks. Both her and her husband will be on FMLA, which is an unpaid leave from work. They have 3 children Jonathan, Josiah, and Jared. Many have expressed a desire to help. The Starnes family has been overwhelmed by the generosity and prayers of their friends. We are setting up this go fund me page in an effort to give them a little help through this difficult time.
