Saba Hurricane Relief

Donation protected
My name is Ivy, I spent the last 2 years of my life living on the wonderful island of Saba. In the course of the 2 years, Saba has become my home and will always remain in my heart. Saba was just hit by Hurricane Irma, there were no casualties from the storm, but there was severe cosmetic damage. Roofs were ripped off houses, valuables thrown about, property was damaged. They are now forced to clean up and rebuild. This fund is to aid those families in need and to help support the cost of repair, as Saba recovers in the wake of Irma.

The funds from this will go towards purchasing beds, furniture, pillows and other home necessities that need to be replaced for those displaced families. Repair of homes is being supplemented by the government, up to this point. I have been in contact with both officials from the government and private sector on how to best disburse the funds. An account will be set up by the Saban government in the upcoming week. Once this account is set up, I, myself will withdraw the fund from gofundme and deposit the funds into this account for their use.  Stacey Simmons from E&H home center  is working with the local government to arrange for a shipping container will be sent from Miami to Saba with the necessary items in the upcoming weeks. She and the local authorities will be ordering the items and arranging for transport, as well as receiving the items on Saba.
