Barleys Lifeline

This is Barley. He's an Airedale Terrier fighting for his life. He's only 7, still a young fella. He's the light of our eyes, our little baby. He's our first dog together, so he is really like our child. We took him on Sunday to the ER vet, not knowing what we would find. Turns out he has a mass in his abdomen that could be kidney related. He was in possible renal failure and was immediately admitted to the vet hospital. He was transferred to Texas A&M vet hospital where he continues to be in ICU. He sees the internal medicine specialist tomorrow and we will know more. The initial quote for surgery and treatment could be $10,000. He's had a rough life so far. He suddenly lost his vision 2 years ago, due to unknown cause (as determined by ophthalmologist). And we can't imagine life without our baby. He's still so young....I know there are so many dogs in need, but even $10 would go a long way. In case you did not know, our builder stole quite a bit of money from us last year, and pretty much depleted our savings. We don't like to ask for help from our friends and family, but feel we have to in order to save his life.
