Eventful August

Hi, my name is Hannah Buchanan and I live in Humble, Texas primarily in one of the areas that got flooded really badly (we got five feet of water in our home).
First off, I wouldn't ask for help if we could do without it. Second, if we can't get help we will find a way to get through everything so don't feel pressured into helping us.
Earlier this past month I had a little baby boy with a great guy named Michael. We named our little guy Michael Robert Doll II after his father and he's an absolutely amazing little guy. He was born at 26 weeks due to placental abruption and weighed just over 1 lbs.  If it wasn't for the amazing doctor who performed the emergency c-sect and the even more amazing nurses who adminstered infant CPR both myself and baby would not be here today.   For that i am truely thankful.  
Fast forward to Hurricane Harvey, we had a feeling the roads would flood so we booked a hotel room next to the hospital but could not see our baby because of lock down policy.  We felt helpless at the mercy Harvey.  It was at the hotel that God tested our spirit of love and charity.  Mike overheard a couple stressing about running out of formula, milk, the gift of life.  This was the one and only thing we had(since i've been steadily pumping).  It felt so good to help this family.  Life was good until we get a call that our baby is being airlifted to Austin because of the storm.  We packed our bags and followed.  The generous people of Ronald McDonald house gave us a place to stay.  
Our baby is doing better, 2 lbs 9 oz.  His rough birth and other complications require extra care such as weekly head scans, MRIs, breathing and eating assistance.  Even with health insurance, we don't know how we will ever get out of this financial hole.  We are not deadbeats, yes we are young but we pay our bills.  My fear is that somewhere down the line, my baby will be refused life saving medical care.  I have been told the transport back home will run 30k.  Like a lot young adults, i would turn to my parents, but Harvey hit them hard.  They like so many other Houstonians lossed their home and all of its contents.  They're heart broken and struggling through getting our house repaired, taking care of my brother and still keeping him in school, being without all of their vehicles and finding a place for us all to live and for my son to come home to.
Baby Michael's dad is having a tough time due to not being able to be with his son also, his son is in Austin while he's back in Houston working.  He can't commute because he too lost his car in the flooding. It's been stressful but we are grateful that his parents are helping him get to work and loaning him a car on the weekends so he can come see his son. 
Things have been starting to look up, baby Michael is healthy and happy and we hope he can come home soon.
We plan on using the money to pay for his hospital bills and future treatments required due to his prematurity. The money is going straight into an account that is used only to pay for his needs. We know his bill will be expensive and his after NICU care will be expensive, but no matter what we will get through this.
