Have you ever felt you were born to do something? For me, it's using my creativity.
A promoter of boundless thinking, I live to make everything majestic and beautiful. I am a self-proclaimed Fashion Maverick, whose canvases include, but are not limited to, fashion design, event production, modeling, event hosting, and cosmetology.
Thanks to an amazingly supportive family and inner circle, I will never stop seeking the things that bring me joy, not matter what difficulties I encounter, including a lack of funding to finish cosmetology school.
In August of 2012, I enrolled at Dudley Beauty College in Chicago,IL as a part time student. To become a licensed stylist it requires 1500 hours, and it generally takes students with my status at least a year and a half to finish. However, I have never been like the average student. A little more than a year later, I am only 177.5 hours away from completing my hours towards getting my license, six months ahead of schedule! If I worked only 5 hours a day, I would reach my goal in a little over a month! *throws confetti*
This is amazing, and truly by the grace of God; but it puts me a difficult place financially. Because I have matriculated so quickly, I need to come up with $3,700 to finish covering my expenses. Dudley does not participate in the Title Four Funding Program that administers financial aid, and I have exhausted all of my other options. My last resort is to turn to you, my family, friends, and supporters.
Any donation you could make, even as small as a $1, would help me tremendously! I know in this day and age, budgets are stretched thin, but investing in me will never be anything to regret. I am completely committed to utilizing my best asset, in the words of Brian Tracy, to the fullest extent of my abilities.
