Fighting For Mia

Donation protected
My husband & I recently moved to Colorado with our two small children at the beginning of November due to my husband being stationed at Fort Carson. After finally settling in to our new home we decided that as part of a Christmas present for all of us, the boys especially , that we would get a new puppy. We called some local pet stores & started our search online as well. We ended up finding our puppy, Mia, who is pictured above on Craigslist from a couple of men that were selling Golden Retrievers in Denver. Unfortunately, these men were dishonest people. Being the scam artists that these men are they told us their puppies had been vaccinated & dewormed, which we believed to be true. These men seemed genuinely like good people asking for us to send pictures of our puppy as she grew & telling us "Your boys will love how playful she is. She will be a great Christmas present for them." So we are all elated as we bring Mia home to play with our boys & our other dog. They were correct our boys do love her, but not even 48 hours after Mia became part of our family she started to ask strange. She became very sick very quickly.  Naturally we call an animal hospital in Colorado  Springs. We ended up getting in contact with the Animal ER Care, LLC. They told us to bring Mia in & they would get her looked at to make sure that is wasn't a major issue going on with her. Sadly, once they looked Mia over & ran some tests we were told Mia had parvo. The vet explained that she was very sick and that they would do everything the could to help our Mia, which they have exceeded our expectations. They asked where we purchased Mia & we said a private seller. We were then directed to contact law enforcement, because the men that had sold us her had to have known that she was sick due to how long & how sick our new little puppy was. The wonderful vets at this clinic got a treatment plan in place for her and she is currently being treated at their facility now. Mia is doing better & on her way to recovery as of now. We are asking for your help to raise money to cover not only Mia's vet expense, but also to donate to this wonderful vet clinic that gone above & beyond to help our little Mia. Also we would like this to be seen as somewhat a type of awareness for the terrible humans that can look you in the eye while taking money from people & causing the heartbreak by selling sick animals knowingly.
