My name is Jessica Maldonado and we are from Houston TX. We have never been in a flood like this and were in a "No Flood Zone" at the time of Harvey.
Hurricane Harvey has completely wiped us out at full force. Our home is completely flooded and we had to be rescued by boat on Monday. We tried hard to stay and make the best of it, but now I don't know when I'll stop crying. The worst part is having to keep strong for my daughter and help her stay happy during such a difficult time. We are currently displaced and have a limited time in our brother in laws house, which we will all have to leave soon due to flood damage.

We have been told that we cannot see our home until the water recedes, 20 days at minimum, and we may not be able to save anything. We have no access to our vehicles and don't even know if they are still safe.

As of today, 9-1-2017 we were able to go by boat to retrieve important documents. However, the water is still standing and mold is starting to grow around the house. The water around our home and vehicles makes it very difficult to get access or updates. We still have no update on our vehicles and cannot reach the area as it is blocked off. The money we are raising will contribute to us getting shelter, help with our new home search and for traveling to work. We also will need to get new beds for each of us and furniture.
