For those who know Robin Hall, you know her as is a kind hearted, strong willed woman whose love of family and Simmental cattle are second to none! Unfortunately, after falling ill upon returning from one of her favorite events of the year, Simmental Junior Nationals, Robin got the news no one ever wants to hear! Her breast cancer had returned and metastasized throughout her body and was causing fluid to build up on her lungs. This resulted in her being unable to carry out normal daily tasks or to keep up with her 5 beautiful grand babies that she adores so much. Robin was sent to the ER on July 20th, 2017 in Charleston, WV and was admitted to have the fluid drained. She then followed up with her oncologist and he ordered more testing to be done. As a few weeks passed her condition deteriorated rapidly, leaving us no choice but to take her to one of the most respected medical facilities in the nation, The Cleveland Clinic. We arrived at the Cleveland clinic ER on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 and she was immediately admitted to the hospital because she was so weak and the fluid had built back up on her lungs. They were able to pull the fluid off but when doing so, her blood pressure dropped and her heart rate went extremely high. Drs became very concerned about her condition and sent her to the ICU for 5 days where she was closely monitored and given the intensive care she so dearly needed. Through the power of prayer and incredibly talented doctors and nurses, Robin was stable enough to leave the ICU and enter into a regular room. However, after 2 weeks in Cleveland, Robin is still VERY weak and has a LONG road ahead of her. Before we can even consider getting her back home or even looking into treatment options, Robin must get considerably stronger. Until then, we will continue to pray and put our full trust in her talented team at the Cleveland Clinic.Since her diagnosis, even with the help of health insurance, her medical bills and other costs are still accumulating. Although the family remains hopeful that they will get her home one day, we anticipate many more expenses to come in the upcoming weeks.
