Let's Get Tommy Perron better!

Donation protected
Tommy Perron is a 14 year old boy who loves to ride dirt bikes, play video games, adores his little sister, likes baseball, goes hunting with his dad, uncles, cousins and family friends, and is extremely loved by many. He was a normal 14-year boy until May when his life changed suddenly landing him and his family in a whirlwind. He began having seizures, behavior changed, eventually lost ability to communicate what he wanted and he has been inpatient at Children's Hospital in Seattle since beginning of July.

After stumping the doctors in 2005 at 6 years old with a similar situation that lasted 7 long months and then making a full recovery, this time they have a diagnosis for Tommy! Tommy has anti-NMDA receptor antibodies in his blood that are attacking his body. It's a rare auto-immune disorder called Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis.

With a diagnosis as well as previous experience, comes knowledge that this battle is not a short one. After over 2 long months in a hospital so far, the Hoffman-Perron family are very aware of what they're up against. This isn't over yet, although the boy has proven to have lots of fight in him to beat this. Tommy's mother, Jamie Hoffman-Perron, has stayed bedside at the hospital for the past two months living at the hospital. His father Jason Perron, sister Alexis, and grandparents spend every available minute with them at the hospital. This family has one goal in mind. Making Tommy better.

Let's help the Hoffman-Perron keep their focus on Tommy and give them a hand.
