Karen Harris Funeral/Medical Expenses

Karen Harris was a wonderful, selfless, beautiful young woman in her forties who brought joy to every person she met. Karen's happy spirit was contagious, and her willingness to serve was evident in every word and action. On Saturday, September 14, 2013, Karen was called home to be with her Savior, and she left behind a devoted husband of 17 years and 12-year-old son.

Karen's passing was unexpected, and came at the end of a month-long chain of events that began with a broken leg that required surgery to repair. After surgery, Karen's body never fully recovered and suffered from severe dehydration, which required her to be hospitalized in the ICU. Having had a history of miracles since 4 years old, Karen had a pacemaker but suddenly needed a heart transplant, which wasn't possible due to kidney failure. After spending over two weeks in the ICU, Karen was Heaven bound.

Karen's family appreciates the kindness of friends, other family members, and even strangers during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family would truly appreciate assistance with impending medical bills and funeral expenses.
