Family in Crisis

For those that don't know me, here is the story...the girl on the left of this picture is my daughter, Emalee (12), and her friend Vivi (12) is on the right...this picture was taken while we visited Vivi in the hospital (doesn't she look beautiful on purple!) Two weeks ago Vivi attempted suicide. Emalee had no idea Vivi was "sad". Their communication involved boys and butterflies...nothing sad and dark. We rushed to the hospital and this is where My friendship with her mother began. I had met her a few times before but never got to "know" her. After many nights of talking at the hospital, I came to realize that she needed help. Not mental help but friendship help. I asked her how I could help and she said she had a couple refrigerators in her yard that need to go to the dump. They cost $20 each and she didn't have the money nor the vehicle to take care of it. I said, easy..we got this; employed some of my fellow Airmen and we went over to the house. Needless to say, 3 fridges and 700lbs of trash later we headed to the dump. At this point I knew she needed more than that. I knew she worked two jobs all summer to support her daughter, son, and father and there was no way she could take care of much more. She invited me in...into her heart and her life. We walked around her house and we cleaned (with the help of my dear friend Dianna)...bag after bag of trash, clearing the floors, providing hope and support to a woman that so desperately needs it...the next day another friend joined us and now...I am reaching out to the community. I can not do this on my own. Their house has no running water, the entire water pump system needs to be replaced. The floors need to be refinished....so, I started this site. She is not a hoarder. She is a woman that cannot get out from underneath it all and just needs help.
Vivi Is scheduled to come home this week. I want to give her a home...a home that reflects her mothers love. One filled with joy and happiness....but we have a long way to go. The money I raise here will go towards running water. They will no longer have to go to the laundry mat to shower, they will not have to clean dishes at other people homes and they will be able to have a home cooked meal.
Thank you for reading.. Iam in tears just thinking about what Emalees friend has gone through and what her family is going through and what she has to come home to...I know I am not SuperWoman and yes, I am praying...I just need help and have no idea where to turn.....
