I never thought that I would be doing this, but here I am-doing this. I am a retired grandmother thathas spent the bulk of my life raisng my two daughters' children: 6 to be exact. It has been very expensive doing this, but somehow I managed to muddle through over the years.
When I retired, I knew that I would have a fixed income and so I found a job and worked to make ends meet. A year and 1/2 ago I lost that job because I became sick with severe bronchitis and the job wouldn't accept that my doctor could not give them an exact date of when I could return. I have looked for other jobs but have not had much luck with that, and I'm still looking.
In order to continue to make ends meet, I started dipping into my savings and now it is all gone. My bills have fallen behind and i has been an extreme struggle to catch up. I managed to get a rewrite on my mortgage and I must make three payments on time: August, September and October (a trial period) so that the rewrite will become perminant.
In the meantime, I was three payments behind on my mortgage, behind on my car payment and all my utilities.
On top of that, some of those payment were automatic payments and when they hit my acct. I became over drawn and the bank took overdarft fees of 34.00 for each one. over the past three months that has amounted to $1190.00.
If I could just get the money to get all my bills caught up it would be of enormous help to me and my grandchildren, who rely on me to tke care of them.
We dont want to end up on the street and without even a vehicle to sleep in! Obviously, it would help to be able to get the money together as quickly as possible so I am asking you to please help us and somehow in the future we will pay it forward.
