LOVE AND SUPPORT FOR JOE CARBERRY

As many of you already know, my nephew Joe Carberry suffered a stroke on Sunday, August 20th. Joe is 42 years old and married to my niece Kristy (38) and they have a daughter Karoline (6). Joe spent a couple of day in ICU at Phoebe Memorial Hospital and has since been moved to Phoebe North Rehabilitationj Center for impatient rehab. The stroke has caused a lot of damage to Joe's motor skills and his right side. Multiple physicians and the neurologist are all relaying the same message that Joe has a chance for regaining function on his right side, but it will be a long road with lots of physical therapy.Along with this life changing event comes many worries from a financial perspective. Joe is the primary income earner for his family. He will not be able to return to work for a long time. Even though there is insurance coverage, medical bills are going to be astronomical. Joe does not have short term or long term disability insurance or an extended amount of leave. We as family members, friends, co-workers, and church family members need to help them out as much as possible. Monthly bills don't stop when events like these occur! We don't want Joe or Kristy to start worrying about selling off things or emptying out their retirement funds of college fund for Karoline in order to make ends meet. Making a donation to this family is the least we can do to give them some comfort in knowing they are loved and we are here for them. They need our help! If you can't help financially, pray that God will meet their needs and give them strength, comfort, and peace while they are going through this valley. Pray that Joe will regain his movement and return back to work. Pray that Kristy will be strong and know when to lean on others for help and that Karoline will understand that daddy has to go through a recovery process before he can be back at home with her.Together we can make a different!
