Theresa's life after chemo

My friend Theresa, some people know as 'tt', has had an eventful year to say the least. she found out she was pregnant at 17, throughout the pregnancy she was sick a lot, but on February 20th she gave birth to a healthy baby boy Charles. After her pregnancy she continued to feel extremely exhausted and just all around didn't feel good, after several trips to the doctors they diagnosed her as having postpartum and anemia. Her symptoms continued to worsen and after some time her mom pushed her to go to the doctor for one last time and demanded answers from the doctor because Theresa was just not right (and a momma knows). they concluded that Theresa had leukemia and was transferred directly to yale hospital where for the past two months and has received two rounds of chemo treatment. In the chaos of chemo and loosing her hair she loved so much, she turned 18 years old, got engaged and struggles with the fact that she cannot see her son everyday, to hug to hold to kiss. In the very near future the doctors are recommending that she receive a bone marrow transplant, to ensure that the leukemia is gone and stays gone, in doing this Theresa will no long be able to get pregnant unless they harvest her ovaries prior to the bone marrow transplant. Insurance doesn't cover the expensive of harvesting ovaries because it's not considered "medically necessary" as a course of treatment which for some may not be an issue unless you are someone who would like to have children like Theresa. We would like to give her opportunity to be able to be well and expand her family. Any small donate would be considered a gift and a blessing to Theresa giving her the opportunity give life and expand her family in the future
