Tanzanian Children

Donation protected
Back in 2014, my fiancé and I travelled to Tanzania, Africa to volunteer with children at the East African School for Orphans and Street Children. While we were there we were lucky enough to explore the beautiful area of Arusha and visit the amazing  Cradle of Love baby home.

We both feel such a  strong connection and need to help the community that in February 2018 we are going back to see the beautiful children and to hopefully bring some financial aid to both the School and Baby Home.

The East African School for Orphans and Street Children is run by Sam, a young man who has dedicated his life to helping the local children in Arusha get an education.
When Sam isn't at the school, he is working at the local  University to make money which gets puts back in to the school for general maintenance and supplies for the children. The school is made up of two classrooms, one for 4-7 year olds, the second for all the older children up to 17 years old. These children either live on the street, with neighbours or what family they have.  These children are ecstatic in coming to school, playing and having the opportunity to learn.
The school provides the children with fresh water from the well that was constructed only in the last 3 years, and lunch, generally rice or beans. The school constantly requires help with supplying food, maintenance to the buildings and the well and basic school equipment for the children. On our last trip we took two suitcases of donated clothes over to the children and purchased school books and pencils, cups and spoons and water containers for them. (You can find the schools information on facebook by searching Tvoeanchildren School's Arusha)

We were also lucky enough to spend time at the Cradle of Love Baby Home. (http://www.cradleoflove.com )
This orphanage was set up by Davona Church in 2003. Since then, the nursery has cared for babies that have been left at hospitals, abandoned in shacks or have been brought in by family who cannot care for the child. These babies are born in to the worst situations, given little hope of survival until taken to Cradle of Love. The nursery saves them by providing them shelter in their home, care from nurses, formula, clean clothes and a cot to sleep in.

Cradle of Love is run purely on donations. It costs $7,000 a month to run the house and donations received would be used to buy supplies for the babies including formula, nappies, rice and medical services.

We are hoping to raise $2,000 to split between these two amazing organisations. These donations will make such an incredible difference to a child without the basics that we take for granted.

Please dig deep!

We promise to honour your generoristy and use your donation in the most effective way possible.
Please note that ALL money raised will be donated, no money whatsoever will be used to fund our trip.
