Teslin's People to People European Trip

I have been selected as a student ambassador by People to People and am hoping to travel to Europe in the summer of 2014.
The trip I am going on is called the European Discovery Trip. I will be traveling with a group of other high-school students for 19 days, and visiting Italy, France, Austria, and Switzerland. This trip will give me the chance to foster friendships with like-minded individuals and promote world peace and global connections, as well as learn about the history of places we visit. It will also give me the opportunity to visit Florence, the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and a location close to where my historical-fiction novel, Sister's of Siena, took place in the 1520s.
I have written Sister's of Siena with my best friend, and while we both have extremely vivid images we have created in our minds of the places they lived, I have always dreamed of being able to actually implant a real image in my head. Going on this trip would enable me to do that, and visiting Florence, among the many other incredible places we will be traveling to, will be the opportunity of a lifetime for me.
The People to People Ambassador Program is the worlds most recognized and respected student travel provider, giving students the chance to visit 7 continents and 40 different countries. People to People has given over 500,000 alumni a chance of a lifetime over the last 50 years, since it was started by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1956. This program gives students an academic edge, an educational yet fun travel experience, and the opportunity to represent the United States and do service projects in other nations.
However, to be able to actually go on this trip, I need to raise my tuition, which is $7,000. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, and I hope that through fundraising activities, donations, and sponsors, I will be able to reach my goal and actually live my lifelong dream of visiting Europe as a Student Ambassador.
