On Oct. 13th I will be running the Chicago Marathon for a second year in a row to support the IILC/KM. That's me crossing the finish line last year.

This small local non-profit organization is close to my heart because that's where my cousin Chris lives. Well he's actually my husband's cousin, but I claim him too:)
Chris is 44 and was born with CP or Cerebral Palsy. Because Chris has CP he is unable to walk, talk or use his arms. Despite these physical limitations Chris has earned a Masters Degree in Software Engineering. Chris is dependent on caregivers to provide all his needs, such as feeding, bathing and dressing. However thanks to the IILC/KM Chris has the dignity of living independently with No Limits!
Last year we raised over $1,500.00. Our goal this year is to raise over $2,000.00.
100% of your donation will directly impact Chris and the residents at Katherine Manor and give them the opportunity and dignity to live independently with No Limits. IILC/KM invests in the rights of people with disabilities to live with independence, freedom by designing and effectively managing affordable barrier-free housing.
Please join our team and cheer me on to reach our goal.
Thank you for your gift of independence!
