Mallory Plunkett's Memorial Fund

I am organizing this Go Fund Me for a dear friend of mine who is going through the unthinkable . At 16 years old , a girl should be worrying about school, friends, boys and having the time of her life. But Mallory had other concerns . At the age of 16 she was given a terminal diagnosis . She was diagnosed in December of 2016 with a very rare primary central nervous system melanoma that had metastasized to the meninges of her brain, spinal fluid and the lining of her spinal cord. There is presently no cure for this devastating diagnosis . She bravely underwent local brain radiation and whole brain radiation . Throughout the duration of Mallory's treatment she requires 24 hour care. Her parents rarely left her side and were unable to work. Of course, money was not a concern . They were focused on loving and spending time with their precious daughter . Mallory fought so hard and went though so much . Unfortunately Mallory lost her battle with this terrible disease on August 18, 2017. A lasting final gift from Mallory was the donation of her brain tissue to St. Jude for their research in the hopes of helping others with this fatal form of malignant melanoma . Throughout all of this , Mallory's faithful parent's never gave up hope for a miracle . A burial or insurance policy was not in their thought process for their teenage daughter . I am asking for any donation that could help ease their burden at this time . No one expects to lose a child at this age .
