Ssae It Ain't So

My name is Kevan and I adopted Ssae from the Hawaiian Humane society about 4 years. Over the years, he's been normally pretty healthy. Until last night. He's had a cough that was pretty noticeable starting on Friday. Took him to the vet and everything seemed ok. "Come back if anything changes" I fed him in the morning before I left for work and he was pretty slow. That was a pretty obvious sign. I came home and fed him again. He ignored it. I took him to the vet and ran an X-ray. His lungs are pretty hazy and don't look healthy. The primary diagnosis is pneumonia. A summary was drawn up and on the low end it'd be $2,000.00. High end it'd be around $3,500.00. I got a call from the doctor and they said the best course of action if to perform a procedure where they flush fluid down his airways, retrieve it and culture it. That procedure by itself is $1700.00. I know a lot of big numbers have been thrown around and I'm not expecting all of it. I'm shooting for $4000.00. Enough to cover the original estimate plus this new procedure with enough left over for unforeseen circumstances. I normally don't ask for help like this and I'm not expecting anything to come of it. I know times are tough and anything you can donate will help tremendously. I don't want to sound like those animal abuse commercials that come late at night asking you, imploring you to help.
