RESTORE and REUNITE a Family

No family wants to live half a world away from each other, but that's the reality for Sarah, Chris and their three children: Zach (5), Eli (3) and Lillie (2½).
And they need our help.
Sarah Knight-Ochaya began short-term mission trips to Africa in 2006. She fell in love with the country and the people and in 2009 made a decision to serve in Africa full time. In 2010 she met her Ugandan husband, Chris; in 2011 they were married, and together they began:

In Oct 2014, Chris' seventeen year-old cousin died from complications in childbirth, leaving precious baby Lillie without a family. With two young boys of their own, Chris and Sarah opened their hearts and home to this beautiful girl. Malnourished and needing basic medical attention, Chris and Sarah gave her the care, love and home she needed. Shortly after Lillie joined the Ochaya family, Sarah suffered the tragic loss of a very close friend in Gulu. Sarah performed CPR but her dearly loved friend died and the trauma of that event sent Sarah into post-traumatic stress. Each day was a battle and while seeking some rest and healing the family were involved in a terrible car accident. The daily battle of living with these traumas and the daily on-going stress was relentless.
Thus, the family made the decision to return to Australia for their own restoration, rebuilding and resourcing.
However, this choice meant that Lillie remained in Africa because her adoption process was not finalised. Chris also had to return to Africa since he does not yet have a spousal visa to stay permanently in Australia. Without the completed adoption and the spousal visa, the family is now living apart.
This is where we come in! Together we can raise much-needed funds to reunite this family - AU$25,000 will bring the Ochaya family back together:
• Chris’ Spousal Visa plus lawyer fees is approximately AU$15,000
• Lillie's adoption order will cost around AU$10,000
