4Joey!

Donation protected

The Need! The education and future of a 6 year old spirit in a growing man's body.

Please meet Our Joey!
Joey has attended his school, The Green Oaks School, Arlington Texas,  for the past 3 1/2 years thanks to a generous private donor/scholarship that is no longer available to him.  If Joey doesn’t attend this school, he will be placed in Ft. Worth ISD and will be mainstreamed into a high school, with only a few special education classes each day. The rest of his day will be spent in a classroom with high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. It would be equal to you sending your 5 year old to high school.  Donna says that when Joey is at Green Oaks, above all else, she knows he is safe!

OR

Donna will have to pull Joey from all schools, and be his around-the-clock caregiver!

Which would you choose?

The Green Oaks School is the only school specifically ministering to Downs Syndrome citizens in the Ft. Worth/Arlington area focusing on their educational, vocational, spiritual, and physical needs and enrichment!  For more information about The Green Oaks School, please visit their website: www.greenoaksschool.org

Revenue donated here, and in other ventures, will pay for Joey's tuition, school expenses, and possibly summer programs and will enahnce and further Joey in many ways including: Educational...Vocational...Spiritual...Physical!

Please give...no amount is too small and all amounts are so appreciated! You bet we will accept your $5 or your $5000!

If you can't attend the BBQ 4Joey Dinner Buffet, in Ft. Worth, on Sept. 20, please consider making a donation here for his education, vocation, spiritual, and physical life today, and for the rest of his life!  When you make a donation, of ANY amount, you will listed on an appreciation board, at the dinner, as one of our Cyber4Joey friends!

Joey Adopts a Mom!

Joey was born in New Mexico to parents that were ill equipped to raise a special needs child. He was placed in Foster Care at the age of 6 and was so tiny and malnourished that he wore 24 month baby clothes.

One day he met single mom, Donna Anderson, and she was smitten with this “Little Feller”. Donna had been a Foster mom to 61 kids in 8 years. Donna’s 3 other children were foster-to-adopt children as well. Joey also has Uncle Dave, Aunt Jan, & his cousins, the Jacksons/Andersons in Chalk Mountain, friends from school, church, and his neighborhood!

     A Little About Joey’s Mom!

While Donna lived in New Mexico, she served as manager, chef and event planner for various restaurants, hotels, and private catering companies. She then obtained the Sunflower Café, a successful catering and daily breakfast/lunch diner. Donna moved home to Ft. Worth, seeking a better education and future for Joey!

Upon moving to Ft. Worth, she worked with Chef Allen Lutes at the Blue Tower Café, and was a private caterer. She has always sought professions that would enable her to be with her children and totally devoted to Joey.  The two of them, with God, accomplish so much for so many!

Donna is now the Catering Service Coordinator at Cornerstone’s Creation Café, one of many ministries of the Cornerstone Assistance Network.  Visit www.canetwork.org.
