Running for Global Brigades

Global Brigades at DePaul is one of over eighty organizations joined by Global Brigades, the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Global Brigades mobilizes student volunteers and professionals to empower communities in developing countries with programs that improve quality of life. Each day students on the brigade travel to different villages in Honduras setting up free medical clinics, treating thousands of patients. I know what you're thinking, "but Kelly you're not a DePaul student anymore." True statement; I am, however, regretful of never participating in the brigade and insanely grateful and inspired by those who do. "Those who do" just so happen to be close friends and for the first time, my little sister. So this year my Dad and I want to run the Chicago Marathon to help send those selfless volunteering students to Honduras to bring the basic medical attention we take for granted to those in need. Be inspired and help us help them!
The Minor's aren't ones to expect your donations without doing some work to earn them. So, here's how it works... First, you pick a mile, don't fret, there are 26.2 to chose from and an amount you want to donate, we'll take anything you're willing to give. Put your bets in now (be sure to add which mile you're betting on in the comment section!). Come race day, come back to this website, we'll post the link to follow us during the race to make sure we put your money where our mouthes are. In the end, we have extra motivation to finish, you've done a great deed, and people are getting the medical attention they deserve and need, what could be better?
