This is My Dad

My Dad is the strongest man I know who has the kindest, gentlest heart of anyone I know. I'm setting up this gofundme page for my Mom and Dad. They've been together 67 years, 62 of those as a married couple. My Dad became very ill in June and was diagnosed with pneumonia. After his second trip to the hospital, they found a mass around the outside of his lung. Since my Parents live in a small town he was taken by life flight ambulance to Spokane Washington, 2 hours away from their home. My Mom does not want to leave his side. They've never been apart. Dad had complications of bleeding into his right lung after the first round of his chemotherapy. He's a fighter and has defied all odds. His doctors are saying it will be a very long and difficult recovery. My Mom has had to stay in a hotel down the street from the hospital, Sacred Heart in Spokane, since it's a 2 hour drive one way which she can't drive. We are raising funds to help with the lodging for Mom to be close to Dad as well as the medical bills that are starting to pile up for his current and future treatment. He will require 6 to 8 weeks of respiratory rehabilitation once he leaves the acute hospital. He will require all the other rehabilitation services available as well. The closest facility is here, two hours from their home. The Doctors are saying it will be a long road to recovery before he can go home. Any financial assistance, no matter how small, is so greatly appreciated. We understand not everyone has the means financially but prayers are just as important and appreciated. Please help Mom stay close to Dad, it's imperative for his healing and rehabilitation. Our family thanks you from the very core of our hearts.
