Tammy's Fight Against Cancer

I want to start off by saying, this lady means the world to me. I met her in 2007 when we purchased homes next door to each other at the same time and we've been best friends since. Tammy is the kind of person who would open her door and give the last of everything she had for a perfect stranger to help them without ever expecting anything in return. She's the most beautiful soul I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My inspiration every day to be a better person.Tammy was recently diagnosed with metastatic Breast cancer. The medical staff that have been working with her have been absolutely amazing, and because of the seriousness and rarity of her condition the tests and treatment she is undergoing have been expedited significantly. Tammy will be receiving chemotherapy. She's scared, as anyone would be, but she's still the most positive and emotionally strong person I know. Tammy is a single mom to three beautiful, respectful, and loving children. She is their world, and they are hers. I've watched these kids grow up from babies to the young adults they're growing into now. When your 16 year old son tells you he loves you and kisses you in front of his buddies... you're doing something right! <3The doctors can't find the primary source of the cancer, but Tammy has a tumour in a secondary location that has travelled through the lymph system. The tumour is too large to surgically remove, and she is currently undergoing chemotherapy. She needs six chemo sessions, and then they should be able to remove the tumour and begin radiation therapy. After which, she will need six more sessions of chemo. Most of this treatment is covered, but not all, and Tammy is on disability leave, earning a reduced wage.My intention with this page is to raise funds for Tammy so that she can pay for the treatments that aren't covered, live comfortably and focus on her health, not having to worry about her financial obligations and making things work on a reduced wage, and so that when her treatment is finished, and she's clear of this disease, she can take a trip somewhere and get to enjoy herself. She's never gone anywhere, and trust me, she deserves it. Any help is appreciated.
