Lee's Medical Fund

Donation protected
Lee was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer. After his laparoscopic surgery to remove the tumor, he contracted colitis and was moved to the isolated care unit. After many X-rays and CT scans, the doctors found a leak in his internal sutures. Infectious fluid had been building in his abdomen for a week and a half before they decided to have a second surgery. This surgery was more invasive than the first and included the addition of an ileostomy that is in place to allow the original sutures to heal. A week after the second surgery, the drain in place had stopped working so they removed it. Within hours of the removal, Lee's fever spiked, more X-rays and CT scans showed new build up of infectious fluid; two more drains have been added. His chemotherapy will begin once he is healthy and strong enough to sustain it.Lee was supposed to go home the 2nd of August, but one set back after another has kept him in the hospital. It's been a long and difficult road, but Lee is taking his recovery day by day. While he does not have a discharge date set, he is looking forward to nothing more than being out of the hospital. As you can imagine the cost of staying in the hospital for weeks (including 1 week in isolated care), having 2 major surgeries, and receiving countless X-rays and CT scans will be more than insurance will cover. Lee is a strong and caring person who is always willing to help those in need. I know he would never ask for help with something like this, but I am sure that the impending medical bills are weighing heavy on his mind. So, I (Kyndall) wanted to start this fund so that we can all help him just a little by easing the burden of the bills. I hope that this gift will help raise his moral and help him get better even faster. Any thing you can contribute will be so greatly appreciated, and if you cannot donate, we also appreciate any prayers and positive energy you can send to help him get through this tough time. Thank you!
