Team Ty-Riffic's Dream Disney Vacay!

Tyler is a 9 year old boy fighting his second battle against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Diagnosed at the age of 6, he fought for nearly 3 years before finding out he had relapsed and his cancer had returned. On the same day his family was dealing with this terrible news, they also were told that Tyler's father, Jason had thyroid cancer. Jason's cancer was treated with surgery and radioactive iodine and he is healthy and doing well, but this family has been through so much. They also have A long way to go.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tyler's mother Kim, while I myself was battling breast cancer. I came across his story while he was fighting his first diagnosis of Leukemia. The thought of a child going through a cancer treatment much longer and more painful than the one I was going through just broke my heart. I could understand the pain of chemo, feeling sick all of the time and the constant worry that cancer will win the battle. Tyler's family and I could connect on this level and much more. What I could not understand, was why this child or ANY child for that matter, should have to go through something like this.

Seeing Tyler fight made me want to give him something to look forward to....and what better place to look forward to than A trip to Disney?! I say "Disney" because although a trip for their family of four (Tyler has a younger brother named AJ)to Disneyland would be wonderful, I want to keep our goal a bit less limited. How about Disney World?! Tyler and his family are avid Disney fans and I know they would be perfectly happy with either trip. Sooooooo, HERE ARE THE DETAILS!

1. We are selling TEAM TY-riffic bracelets for 5.00 each. These bracelets are a wonderful way to show our support for Tyler and his family. Tyler chose the bracelet colors himself, and is very excited to share with everyone! Any donation amount more than a bracelet purchase is also accepted, but I understand how difficult donating can be in times like these. Any amount helps!


2. I have also set up a t-shirt fundraiser selling an awesome t-shirt that Tyler designed himself! I set it up with a wonderful company named CustomInk. This company has a special place in my heart as I worked for them for a year. The heart and people of this company are amazing and who better to help with this fundraiser than people like that? Below, you will see photos of the 3 different styles available. Please keep in mind that this portion of the fundraising will be 2 weeks. Once that time is up, as long as we have at least 20 orders, the shirts will be printed and sent out. The more we order, the more we raise! They are available for 20.00 each.

3. If you are friends or family of Tyler, you will most likely be able to receive your purchased bracelet in person from Tyler, Kim or Jason! Please, just add a note with your donation and I will relay this to Kim. I have sent them a good amount of bracelets so that Tyler can partake in some of the fun!
