Andy Miller ALS/Lou Gehrig Fund

This page has been specifically designed for the many people from near and far that would like to support Andy Miller. Andy was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease around Christmas time 2016. We are unsure of the exact time of the changes that are going to come we pray that they may come slow. These changes are going to require many things that will help with his mobility, preparations around the house, and devices that will allow Andy to communicate upon time that they are needed. In home health care. Van with Handicap lift. The proposed budget for these items is $50,000. This is just a starting point.
The FDA has just approved a new drug called Radicava. Which has shown to slow the progression of the disease. Andy is waiting for the university of Nebraska to approve the medication so he can be put on the list to receive. When this happens the cost of the drug is $147,000 per treatment. Andy's insurance will cover 80% leaving him with $29,400 payment each month.

We are looking to raise what we can to support him as this is one thing that will simplify his concerns. Our focus as ones who care and love Andy is to keep his stress low as possible for we understand the overwhelming complexities that he is wrestling with already.
