24 Year Old Warrant Funding

When I was 19 I was in the United States Marine Corps visiting my mother in Mesa, Arizona and had gotten a DUI. I left back to base was told that they would dismiss the case but legally had 7 years to refile, which they did the following year. I moved there in 96 with my then wife, and was subsequently arrested and I was sentenced to 4 months and given a fine and placed on informal probation. I moved back to California in 97 not thinking about the fine, as I was in the midst of a divorce and never heard another thing about it. In 1998 they filed a fugitive of justice warrant which I hadn't found out about until recently when I applied for a Union job with Safeway and couldn't pass the background check because of this. The last few days have been spent on the phone with the Maricopa County Sheriffs department, their probation department and their clerks office. The only thing they are willing to do is recall the warrant upon receiving $3,318.72 and then clearing me of any further wrong doing. I work 80 hours a week between two jobs to provide for my family and I just recently graduated with my bachelors and I start my MBA next month and I can't possibly afford to pay that amount. I'm hoping that friends, family & loved ones alike, can see how much my life has changed full circle as I am a better man now, than I was when I was 19. I graduated with honors receiving both my associates and my bachelors and all I want is to be able to get a higher paying job so I don't have to work so much in order to provide for my family. I want to continue striving to reach my future goals without having this loom over my head. Any help I can revive would be put towards the ticket to pay this warrant. I thank you all in advance.
