In the early hours of Tuesday morning, our close friend Daniel (Loni) Namanga was tragically stabbed on Old Kent Road. He was pronounced dead 50 minutes later at the scene.
Loni had so much going for him. He was an outstanding sportsman and he also just passed his exams with the view of going to university next year. He helped his friends and family whenever he was needed and always showed qualities every human or friend should aspire to have.
His loss still doesn't feel real to us. He had brilliant humour, energy, charisma and brought a lot of joy to the people he knew. Somehow his journey in life only lasted 19 years, but his legacy amongst us will last forever.
Loni hasn't just been taken away from us, his friends, he's been taken from his family. Including his inspirational and undeniably strong mother and younger brother.
As a group we wanted to make this gofundme page because we want our friend to have the send off he deserves, and make sure his family are well looked after.
