Cancer Treatment for Katie

On July 2nd, 2015, 34 year old Katie was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. She was 30 weeks pregnant with her third child.
While pregnant, she underwent two surgeries to have the cancer removed and then in August gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl.
During the diagnosis period, her two operations, and countless doctor meetings, her husband took off work to support her and help with the older boys ages 2 and 4. This took a hit on the couple financially. On top of that, they now they face the bills with Katie's treatment.
On March 1st 2017, Katie was diagnosed with stage 3c breast cancer. The cancer has spread to the lymph nodes, three of which are tucked in between the pectoral muscles and one is behind her collarbone. The location of the lymph nodes is a cause of concern when it comes to removing them so it was recommended that she try to shrink the tumors with chemotherapy before having surgery. It also leaked into her muscle in her chest.
She is currently having chemo and supports her immune system with nutrition, supplements, and IV therapy.
