John's Help

John is a friend of 30 years, who was the victim of a home invasion in Puerto Rico this past winter. He was there teaching English. He was robbed, severely beaten, stabbed multiple times, and left to die. He was found two days later on the floor of his flat, in a puddle of his own blood, head cleaved open and slowly bleeding out. He's now back home in Kentucky and paralyzed on one side of his body. He's stuck in a wheelchair, can barely form a single word from dyspraxia, and has a million other mental and physical impairments. His mom and uncle are doing what they can but their house isn't handicap accessible. My friend can't get up from his chair without help and there is no way he can do the steps in his mother's home to the shower. He has been taking sponge baths in his driveway. Winter is quickly approaching while they wait for his disabilities to be approved for any services.
I can't fix my friend. I can't get his faculties back for him. But if we can help his family to get a proper shower before winter? That's something we can do. Please consider helping.
