The Isaacs Are Going to Kenya

We are heading to Kenya in March of 2014 to work with the Tamani Orphanage. Tamani is an orphanage located in the heart of the slums in Nairobi, Keyna. They have around 30 children that they clothe, house, feed, send to school and provide a safe and loving environment for. However, their deepest desire is to get the children out of the slums and on to a piece of land outside Nairobi. And that is where we (Chris, Dawn, Morgan and Jessi) are headed to help out. Chris and I will be leading the team and our daughters will be coming along to work on the land alongside us. We hope to develop a garden that will provide for the kids needs as well as produce enough crop to sell the extra to fund their other on going needs. As with everything in Kenya, the project is fluid depending on the needs that are present when we arrive but our goal is to leave the orphanage a few steps further along the journey to getting out onto the "promised land".
