Hello, My name is Toniann Cangialosi
I am starting this go fund me page for my father, Bob. My dad has been the rock of our family. He has been the sole provider. He had his own private business so he will not be receiving any support or help from his job. My father and mom just recently celebrated their 44th year anniversary on March 30th.
My dad has been in kidney failure for the past five years. Luckily, dialysis has been helping him to continue with all his normal activities. About 2 years ago things took a turn for the worse. He has been battling diabetes , high blood pressure and heart disease. He ended up having to have a triple bypass, including 5 stents which he never fully recovered from. As a complication of the diabetes, he had to have his toes amputated. He went through a lengthy recovery learning how to walk again. Eventually, he was sent home on oxygen and outpatient dialysis.
Since then, things have only gotten worse. He recently was readmitted to Southside Hospital due to all the complications. We, unfortunately, had to stop the dialysis because he is too weak to continue. The doctors have advised us that my father doesn't have much time left. They are no longer able to treat him, therefore, he is being placed in hospice at home. We were not expecting my dad to deteriorate this quickly since my dad is only 62 years old. Going forward, my family and I will be making him comfortable at home. This Go Fund me is to raise money for incurred medical costs and funeral arrangements. With your support, we would like to give my dad the proper burial he deserves. Please keep my dad and our family in your thoughts and prayers as we go through this very difficult time.
