The most giving and loyal friend we have ever had now needs our help and support. Tera Martin was diagnosed with stage 3b metastatic breast cancer in April 2013 at just 28 years of age.
She started an extensive treatment plan in May 2013 and has since undergone 14 rounds of chemotherapy. But, unfortunately, the battle continues and Tera still has multiple sessions of chemo to go before her doctors will be able to operate. For those of you who haven't gotten to meet our best friend, she is one of the most inspirational people you could ever know. Way before she was diagnosed. Tera, has been the most loyal and reliable person since we met her at age 14. She is the first person to help us when we need advice, bring us soup when we are sick and there to give us a hug when we are down. Tera has done so much for her friends and family, always. I know this is not easy for her to be sick, and to ask for help, and that is why we are doing it for her. Tera needs your love, support, care, prayers and positive vibes sent her way.
While Tera continued to work a full time job during her first round of chemo, she has since started a new treatment that no longer allows her to work. In fact the new treatment has lowered her immune system and white blood cell count to the point that it may no longer be safe for her to participate in chemo, she also must stay out of public areas. As her medical bills continue to pile up,Tera has learned of a natural treatment plan, but it is not covered by health insurance. She believes that this option is her best bet in improving her immune system, beating cancer and future prevention. This is important to her because she is looking for a healthy lifestyle to continue to prevent cancer in the future as her grandmother battled it 3 times.
In addition to her non-prescription medicine, supplements, and acupuncture, we are raising funds to send Tera to one of the Gerson Clinics for a 3 week natural treatment plan that will cost over over $17,000.
