I have been a student of the arts since I was a child. If you were to look in on me while I was playing you would see me drawing comic strips, making flip-books and recording short stories into my tape deck. All these years later I'm blessed to have turned my tinkering ways into a profession.
Three years ago I started my company, J.Weiss Designs and this past year things have really taken off. My company handles media production and post-production specializing in sound design, motion graphic design and film production. While living in the San Francisco Bay Area I started off doing logos and business cards for my good friends but over this past year, I am happy to announce, I have done work for Ripple Effects (a SF Software Development Company), KTVU-7 (a Bay Area television station) and KPFA-94.1 (a Bay Area Radio Station).
Recently I have noticed signs that it is time for my business to grow so I've gathered all my ambition and a little bit of courage and I am taking the leap. I'm actually quite excited. I will have a new studio workspace, new computers, new xerox machine, a screen print machine and a green screen. I have put my all in this endeavor so that I can put my all into my work and better serve my clients.
Why do I need your help?: I need to expand my software. Over the years I have been able to rely on my circle of friends to use their equipment when I would get in a jam. As my business grows I see the necessity for me to acquire my own software collection. Doing this would not only allow me to maximize profits but also increase efficiency. Also, as I gain certain clients it is more and more important to own my software licenses for copyright reasons. Where the money will go?: DIRECTLY TO SOFTWARE! I'm saving and putting it directly towards my new equipment. What I'm planning to buy?: Here is where your funding will go!

Quality media production work is not cheap. As with any trade, A craftsman is only as good as their tools. Although my business is expanding, it has the potential to expand much more rapidly with your help. I've put everything into this business and plan on putting much more. However, I know that I can't do it on my own.
