Friends! I am calling for your help in making this a #PROJECTBRINGJESSICASBLOODPRESSUREDOWN Our loving, wild, and carefree Jess has hit a rough patch in life. Some of you know that for the past year Jess has been having non-stop health issues. Just when one problem seemed to almost be taken care of, another issue would take its place. About 2 months ago she was admitted into the hospital for what turned into a 4 day stay, once again leaving without an explanation as to what was causing her fevers, loss of appetite, low energy and nauseousness. She was incredibly anemic but the doctors thought there was another underlying issue but just couldn't figure it out. After having disappointing results with her first blood transfusion, she continued to schedule more tests in the hopes that something would finally show. On August 2nd, she went to get her second blood transfusion where nurses started becoming concerned about her rising blood pressure. After taking a blood test they saw that her levels were critically high and she was immediately rushed into the Emergency Room where they discovered her kidneys were failing. That night she was put on dialysis and scheduled for a kidney and bone marrow biopsy the following day. Her kidney biopsy results showed that antibodies are attacking her kidneys. It is something that is treatable but is looking like it might be a long way to recovery with a lot of medication with too many nerve wracking side effects, requiring at least another week in the hospital. After going on disability before her first hospital visit 2 months ago, she has not seen a single penny from disability and will continue to not see anything for months because of their mess up. It has been a long, draining and frustrating time for Jess and my family, so I am asking you to please donate whatever you can.
