Help Bonnie Blue Beat Breast Cancer!

Donation protected
My name is April Newman and I've set up this go fund me account for my cousin and very first best friend since infancy, Bonnie Blue Powell Matthews. Bonnie is a 45 yr old wife , mother of two children and daughter of Rhett and Frances Powell. In June Bonnie visited her Dr. with complaints of hip and leg pain, assuming it was related to a recent fall. Several tests were done and the diagnosis was suspicious for bone malignancies (cancer that had spread to her bones from another primary source). More thorough test such mammograms, breast biopsies & MRI's were performed to locate the primary source of the cancer which ultimately was her left breast. They immediately started preparing for aggressive treatments. In this short time, She's been trough chemo, radiation , blood transfusions and just the works. While determined to stay positive, working a full time job , being a strong mother and wife and remaining faithful to her Church and God . It's only been 2 short months but the medical bills just started rolling in and quite overwhelming. Unfortunately. Bonnie is far too familiar with breast cancer. Her mother, Frances was diagnosed with the same type of cancer, at about the same age, in a similar unsuspecting way. Unfortunately her mother, Frances, passed away in 2001. To say the least Bonnie is realistically aware of what the physical, mental, emotional. spiritual & financial strain cancer puts not only on the patient but the entire family. Also Bonnie works full time for Hospice (medical care geared towards treating the symptoms of terminal illness & keeping the patient as comfortable as possible). That reiterates what she had experienced with her own mother, which is cancer is a strain on every aspect of her family's life. It's my hope that this GoFundMe could help with some of those strains, any amount even $1 would be helpful and so greatly appreciated. If you're unable to help financially, I ask that you keep Bonnie and her family in your daily prayers or perhaps on your prayer lists at church. And lastly, even if you're unable to helpIn anyway, hopefully reading this post will help you realize or understand that cancer doesn't discriminate and the symptoms sometimes can be completely unsuspecting and vague. Thank you and God Bless

And the Lord answered, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40
