Michelle's Mission To Recovery

Hello, My name is Kass and I'm appealing for your help to support my cousin Michelle Wayte a young Mum (22) of Two beautiful children Myla (1) and Lucas (2) and partner of Mitch (25).Michelle suffered an injury whilst playing league tag for the Walcha Jillaroos 2 months ago. Michelle saw doctors who simply masked the pain with medication but didn't investigate any further than an x-ray but was told if it wasn't better in 6 weeks from then to come back. Fast forward 4 weeks to Monday 31st July 2017 Michelle had Intense pains in her back getting her daughter out of the cot and fell straight to the ground and an ambulance was called. When they arrived they gave Michelle a green stick and made her walk to the ambulance and from there she lost all feeling in her feet, legs, hips, bottom and back. Michelle has been transported by air ambulance to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle where Mitch is by her side but 6 hours away from their children who are being cared for by family and friends. Michelle had an MRI which determined that she had a shattered disc which severed her nerve. Michelle was told she will never walk again and it was necessary for them to operate. Michelle had the surgery on Monday night and is now slowly beginning rehab already defying doctors expectations.Michelle's strength and resilience is admirable but she is going to need a lot of support to get back on her feet. Michelle is an avid sportswoman who has even represented NSW in the State Championship for Hockey. Please help support Michelle and her family on this long journey ahead of them.
