It's time to celebrate "THE LEGEND!"
He won't like it, but let's face it...if there is anyone who deserves recognition for his relentless determination, it is my dad, Carl Morrison!
On August 20th, 2017 Carl will be riding his 1,000th DAY IN A ROW on his bicycle. Yes, we are talking EVERY day, regardless of the weather! I have begged and pleaded with him to let me give him a ride home during blizzards and -30 degree temperatures in the winter, yet he refuses any offer.
Despite this huge accomplishment that he would prefer not to even be recognized for, Carl has a true passion for cycling and loves to encourage others in the sport as well. He can keep up with the best of them, but that's not what's important. He is patient and wont hesitate to stop and help fellow cyclists, or even slow his pace to ride and encourage new riders along the way. How many people would take their granddaughters (ages 7, 9 & 11 at the time) on an all day 75-mile ride to Green Bay and back, riding at the pace of their choice?! CARL DOES!
I could go on and on but I will get to the point. On Carl's 1,000th day, August 20th, I would like to present him with a NEW road bike from his follow friends, family and cycling enthusiests! He has never and probably will never buy a NEW bike, it's just not who he is. I know there are so many people that he has touched in the biking community. I hope you all will help support me in making this happen!
And YES, there will be a SURPRISE ride/event/celebration....so save the date, Sunday, August 20th. I would love for you to join us in a ride on Carl's 1000th day - details will come via private facebook event page.
PLEASE share with anyone you feel would like to contribute, but PLEASE do so via private message, so my dad does not find out!!!
All money raised will go towards a bike and additional biking accessories/clothing for Carl.
