Dear Family and Friends,
For those of you who don't know Angelika (Geli) and her relationship to me, let me tell you more about her - I'll try to keep it short ;).
I first met her back in 1996 when she was dating Tim in Laguna Beach, CA.  She was an au pair from Germany and I was a nanny at the time.  We became great friends and more so when we both moved up to the Bay Area as our husbands and their friends started Planetmoon Studios in Sausalito together.  Shortly after the move, Geli and Tim got married and later had two wonderful daughters Lily and then Annika.  Our children grew up together and Geli helped me so much when I had to go back to work.  She cared for Holly and Jack whilst I was working, as she had her own in-house daycare.  She did an amazing job and even taught then a little German.  My daughter Holly, though 2 yrs younger than Lily, are great friends and Jack and Annika who are the same age and are soul mates - having their own language when they were toddlers and a love of dogs and animals.  Holly and Lily even had a mock wedding for them when they were little :)
My husband Scott and Tim were also great friends and worked together.  As Planetmoon was a new, growing company, we found we had many nights and weekends without our husbands and so relied on each other for support.  Many years later Planetmoon closed it's doors and they sadly moved away for work, but through all their moves to France, UK and back to the US we have all remained great friends.  Now, though still a few states away from each other (we now live near Seattle, WA and Geli is in Fairfax, CA) we are still as close as ever, and try to visit whenever we can.  Lily (now 18yrs)  is starting at Western Washington University, Bellingham and Annika (14yrs) is starting High school today!  We all love and cherish the friendship we have with this family and wish we could be closer to help at this time of great need.

As some of you may already know unfortunately the biopsy confirmed that Geli has stage 4 colon cancer, which has metastasized, spreading to her liver and lungs.   This will mean aggressive treatments for a long time.  It is sure to impact the family in many ways, including financially.  I know many of us feel we want to help in some way, so we decided to put this website together as a way to aid the family moving forward.
What with the mounting bills and many extras that may not be covered under their insurance, they will need a helping hand as they struggle through this difficult time towards a positive outcome.
Please help, any amount is greatly appreciated, thank you so very much!

Let's help her Fight this Beast!
