Abington Entrance Makeover

After interest was expressed by several Abington residents, and after permission was obtained from the landowners, this site was set up to raise money to provide for a makeover of the Abington neighborhood entrance off of Kerner Road. When the developers who gave us this wonderful neighborhood packed up and moved on some years ago, maintenance of the entrance fell to Abington residents, mainly the kind folks who own the land upon which the entrance sits and who have done so much over the years to keep it looking good. Most are in agreement, however, that it needs a little bit of TLC, pruning or possibly removal of the bushes that are up there, maybe replanting most of it, trimming up the trees, maybe some flowers, certainly mulch. In any event, it is going to cost a little bit of money to do this, so we're starting the process now. We will probably get some quotes from landscapers and will post that information to the Nextdoor Abington website for all to see. So I'll start the ball rolling, and I hope that all of you who love our wonderful neighborhood will find a way to contribute if you can, however much you can, in whatever way you can. Thanks!
