1 John 4:11
"Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another."

The small community of Studley is located 12 miles northeast of Richmond, Virginia in rural Hanover County.  Its acreage consists primarily of fields tended to by farmers; many of its families have called Studley home for generations.

Junior and Melray Alexander have been part of this community for nearly 70 years.  They live on Georgetown Road and are in desperate need of a safe, secure home.  They currently sleep beneath a badly leaking roof, rent a portable bathroom in lieu of an indoor toilet and carefully traverse their family room to avoid the holes in the floor.

The brothers have always worked, sometimes walking miles to mow lawns or assist with odd jobs, but these wages have been insufficient to repair or replace their home.

Enon United Methodist Church is coordinating a community effort to provide Junior and Melray with small, double-wide modular home, to be placed on their current homesite.  The turnkey cost of this new home will be $80,000, less the septic system.

Our goal is for Junior and Melray to be in a new home by October 2017 to avoid another heating season in which they burn wood in stoves and chimneys is great disrepair.
