On March 17, 2013, Imogen tried to get out of bed in the morning and collapsed to the floor in tears, saying her feet hurt. For the next few months, we had spells of leg pain, limping, fevers, and the like. We went to countless doctors for x-rays, blood tests, and even had her tonsils removed.

In August, Imogen couldn't walk. The little she could do was a harrowing sight, as her leg pain had turned her movements into an awkward, unnatural gait. After a new MRI, a tumor was found across her spine and in her back muscles. She was diagnosed with a rare form of a rare cancer called ganglioneuroblastoma. Since then, "Tiny" has undergone surgery, chemotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, and a million other tests. We're happy to say that it does not appear to be life-threatening, but it is almost impossible to remove from her body with surgery. She's still the most joyful little girl, despite the cancer.

A Way You Can Show Your Thoughtfulness:
Yellow is the color of pediatric cancer support, and we are so blessed by the thoughts and prayers of everyone. Send your prayers, or a photo of you in yellow to [email redacted]. As horrible as this is, we know that God has a plan, and we believe it's important to record this journey for Immy to look at later in life to see that God has been faithful and she has been deeply loved and prayed for by a vast number of people around the world.
