Early Sunday morning, August 18, 2013, David DeMarco, was involved in a pedestrian/auto accident. He was thrown 100 feet and sustained life threatening injuries "“ thoracic aorta rupture (according to the doctors no one survives this type of rupture), compound fracture in his upper left arm, a hole in the diaphragm and his stomach was pushed into his chest cavity, a tear in the liver, both knees are dislocated (three of the four ligaments are gone), spinal fractures in his neck and lower lumbar area and a small fracture on his right ankle.
David has already had several surgeries since the accident, and still has more to come. This is a hard time for him because he is a very outgoing and active man.
