Love For Andrea

I am starting a fundraiser for my dear friend and co-worker, Andrea Romig. Andrea has been fighting cancer for nearly 2 years now.  She has been out on leave since March of this year and she is currently in the hospital again.  I have known Andrea for the past 10 years or so and she has always been an amazing woman.  She is kind, caring, thoughtful, strong willed, and independent.  She is always there to listen or lend support when needed.  She loves to shop and get a bargain, eat plain sandwiches, and is always down to order dessert.  Andrea is also a wife to Rich and wonderful mother to their 5 year old daughter, Alexandra.  She puts 110% into her whatever she does and is truly admirable.  She has dedicated her work to helping those in need.  She has helped so many children through foster care and adoption. She has helped the elderly to remain at home and cared for when they have no one else. Now is when she needs our help the most, but she would never ask for it. 

With the numerous medical appointments, chemo, and radiation, along with the physical toll it has taken on her, Andrea and her family have exhausted almost all of their time off.  They continue to have growing medical bills and household bills (the central AC just broke last week!).  

I know there are many friends, like me, who want to help and show support and just don't know how.  I don't have any vacation days to give, and I am a terrible cook.  I am hoping this fundraiser can be a small token of how we can show Andrea and her family love and support through this extremely difficult time.  All funds raised will be given to Andrea, Rich and Alex.
