Haiti Medical Mission 2nd Trip

Donation protected
Hello All,

I've decided to make a repeat trip to Haiti with the group, Phoenix Rising for Haiti, to provide free medical care and rehabilitation to the rural community located in Port-Au-Paix.

Last years trip was largely successful. Our team of therapists and orthotists were able to successfully see >500 men, women, and children whom otherwise have no other means to get routine medical care. I was extremely humbled, grateful, and satisfied with the magic we were able to produce while there to help individuals without many of the obstacles we are faced with here in the states.

There will be a team of 25 medical professionals from many disciplinary backgrounds including physicians, physical therapists, orthotists, prosthetists, & wound care specialists to name a few. Together we plan on treating patient's of all kinds - young & old; neurological & orthopedic; and those just in need of tune ups to continue on the arduous lifestyles they are still battling with following the devastating earthquake that affected so many. This will be the 17th trip put together by this group, and I very excited to add to the already staggering number of 8000+ patients already treated by these selfless practioners before me

This year's trip is one week, October 14-21, and I would greatly appreciate your donation to help make this trip a reality for me. The total number of donation will go to expenses such as air fare, basic medical supplies (Tylenol, tums, taping, etc) and the cost associated with extra luggage to check in and bring the supplies over. This year I am also collecting new/used sneakers to give away to many of the people whom don't have adequate footwear and will be looking for donations in that regard to. Money will also be allocated to getting those shoes over to Haiti.

It's never easy asking for financial help and most people are skeptical when these trips come up. I am adamant about going to these poverty struck locations and making a difference with my hands instead of handing money to an organization. Please allow me to be the channel to which your donation can help a young child learn to walk or help young men alleviate their back pain in order to provide for their family. Thoughts and prayers are always welcome too. Thank you.
