Bring Our Kid Home

Hi!

I'm Josh. My wife Raquel and I are passionate about being able to share our hearts and our home with a young child with special needs! We find ourselves, barely middle-aged, with only one child left in the home and a whole lot of life and love left to give.

Since our marriage in 2019, we have felt drawn towards adoption of a child with special needs. Josh had friends with special needs as a youngster, and Raquel has taught many children with special needs throughout her life. After raising several typically developing children of our own (separately and then together as a blended family), we realized our hearts, and our lives, would be brighter and richer if our "together child" had special needs. We live in an area with great supports for children with special needs.

We feel very strongly that life at all stages and of all abilities is to be valued and cherished.

We are home study approved, open and ready to adopt a child with special needs! We have put great effort into our adoption profile to best describe what we can offer to a child and a family. We have sold our extra vehicle, and are doing DoorDash deliveries on the side to help gather the funds needed to be ready to bring our child home.

That effort has, to date, raised us over $15,000. We are so close to the finish line!

That's where you come in....

In the grand tradition of my favorite YouTube videographers...if everyone who reads this would donate what you would normally spend on a cup of coffee, we can make this happen. Raquel and I want to be able to give our best yes to families who are considering adoption. We have pushed and are continuing to do so, but there is only so much we can humanly do. At this point, we are so close to the finish line, and being able to confidently know we will have the end of our adoption fees available when they are needed, would be a huge answer to prayer. You are a critical piece of our story. Any donation of any amount will be stored away until needed for those closing funds, the ones that will allow us to confidently and happily embrace our future child and their birth parents.

We are blessed to have friends all over, and we look forward to the day when we can bring our child to all of you.
