Life Or Death For Mike

Michael Dennis Reid, better known as Mike by friends and family, was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis with underlying COPD in 2015. Doctors gave Mike a year to live but by God's amazing Grace he's still with us. Daily living is difficult for Mike. Even the simple task of dressing takes Mike a couple of hours due to lack of oxygen. Mike & his deceased wife Pam were owners of Pearl Vision in the Farmington mall for 25 yrs. He's also been active as an Activity Bus Driver for Aztec schools & the Boy's & Girl's Club driving students to softball, football, volleyball & basketball games. He is loved & respected by the students. He is also a member of the Aztec Nazarene Church, CMA - Christian Motorcycle Association as well as the GWRRA - Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Mike loves the Lord and is a joy & encouragement to everyone he meets. He has a fabulous sense of humor & through his illness has never lost his Faith in Christ. Through the CMA Mike met & fell in love with his beautiful wife Debbie, who married Mike knowing life would be difficult & short. After much research, Mike found a successful treatment for Cystic Fibrosis using his own stem cells. The success rate has given Mike & Debbie so much hope. They take your stem cells, process & then in Mike's case, would put them into his lungs. Unfortunately insurance doesn't cover it & the cost is $12,000. That doesn't cover the cost of travel, etc back & forth to Phoenix. Hence this GoFundMe account. We love Mike & Debbie and want to see him go on living.
