FINANCIAL SUPPORT REQUESTED: Financial assistance is requested for Kamal Paudel, who was diagnosed with the Cancer - Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma on October 17, 2017.
Kamal was a long-time employee of USAID (the United States Agency for International Development). He started his career in July 1983 and worked in a variety of positions until his contract expired in October, 2016. Since that time, Kamal has been actively seeking employment. Unfortunately, in October of 2017, Kamal was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Cancer. Currently, Kamal is undergoing Cancer treatment at the Virginia Hospital Center, 1635, Arlington, VA 22205. Kamal was rushed to the Emergency Department at the Virginia Hospital Center on November 3, 2017 for immediate treatment and was admitted for 7 days to deal with his serious illness. His first Chemotherapy was performed on November 6, 2017 with additional treatments scheduled every three weeks until April, 2018. According to his cancer specialist, this is a treatable Lymphoma with good prognosis for recovery. Unfortunately, Kamal has been unemployed for over a year after his assignment in Germany and his Obamacare Insurance was terminated in July, 2017 when the monthly premium doubled. The treatment cost is expected to be $70K and may go higher. He has no health insurance to cover his hospital bills and is now facing severe financial difficulties until he can return to work.
