Tipper Needs Pallaitive Radiation

Donation protected
Tipper still has issues with his cancer of the mouth. His four Palliative Radiation treatments, for the most part was a success from where we started to where we went. His first recheck, the tumor had shrunk more. By his second recheck, December 17th, it was gone, but had left an exposed molder root and jaw bone. It suggested by UT for him to see a dentist/oral surgeon. He was seen today, January 2, 2014 upon the visit, it was discovered, the tumor had started to regrow. The dentist, Dr. Stein referred us back to UT. I called them as soon as we got home. Spoke with Dr. Chetney, he is going to get some estimates together, for new blood work and CTs of mouth and chest. Funds are needed. Once those are done, then we will know better what options we have.
But despite, all he is still eating, alert and active. The doctors says that is good.
I am not just relying on this page, I'm also again applying with some of the pet cancer organizations who help. But donations are still needed.

This is Tipper, he has cancer of the mouth. The original goal was to raise the funds for life saving surgery and follow up chemo. It is too late for surgery. Palliative Radiation can extend his quality of life and life by 6 to 12 months, depending if the cancer is a Melanoma or a Sarcoma. It has not spread to his chest or abdomen. Today's, September 26th, chest x-rays and ultra sound of abdomen, both are still clear and no signs of cancer. Blood work is still good and Lymph nodes still clear, urine good too. It has not spread to no other part of his body. But it has spread in his mouth, where most of the bone and tongue would have to be removed, not leaving him the quality of life that he has now. The only option is to do a CT, and follow up with once a week for 4 weeks Palliative Radiation. Doing the CT will let the doctors know where to direct the radiation to do the most good. Hoping that these treatments will stop or shrink the tumor and give him whatever time possible of a good quality of life along with meds. The CT will cost between $700-$800 and the 4 radiation treatments about $2500. Total cost between $3200-$3300. These costs above were estimated. I have given the actual cost in today's, Sunday, September 29th update on his dashboard.
And there is still PRAYERS for GOD'S TOUCH and his Angels to heal him. And I believe in MIRACLES, if it is God's will. I definitely do believe PRAYER can heal. I have seen it heal Humans with cancer. Today's news wasn't what I hoped and prayed for. But the option treatment will give him what ever time may be, a good quality of life.
He has been a part of my life since he was a 4 week old puppy. He was a foster, born to a German Shepherd mother who ran with a pack of dogs in West Nashville. She gave birth to 11 puppies under a building. The puppies were rescued by a local rescue. They tried to catch the mother, but never could. I agreed to foster three, one was my Tipper. I fell in love with him when they took him from the crate. There was just something about him, the the other two didn't have. At 8 weeks he got parvo. My vet then told me he had never seen such a strong string of the disease. He let me know, he might not make it. His reasoning was because he had been taken from his mother before her milk could build up his immunity to diseases. I left him at the vet to get treatment and prayed, going by each day after work to see him. He was there 3 nights and 4 days. One or two more puppies came in the same day with Parvo. Tipper was the youngest. One was as old as 6 months. I prayed, but prepared for the worse. After 4 days my vet called and said come and get my boy, it looked like he was going to make it, the others did not. When I picked him that day to take him home, my vet told me, "With his age and such a strong string, I thought the others would make it, not him". I told him, it was love and prayers that pulled Tipper through and the want to live. My boy is a surviver. We have been through some hard times. Homeless when a home my late father and I bought was foreclosed on. I had nowhere to take my Tipper. But thanks to a rescue, he had a place and I went to the local Women's Mission. As long as my boy was safe, warm, had food water and love, I could sleep in my vehicle or on the street. It was over a year before we got back in a place to call home. We've been there 5 years now. And here is yet another battle we must fight together. CANCER. He is now 10 year old and still not ready to give up. Except for the cancer, he is a healthy boy. He is still full of life and enjoys going for car rides, walks and anything that he can do with his mama. I love him, he is my best friend and my fur baby and my beloved family member. I am single and such an expense is impossible to work in my already tight budget. Please help me save my best friend's life by donating, even $1 will help my Tipper. Your donations will help him to have a good quality of life what ever time he has left. Please help me to help him. And please keep praying for that MIRACLE.
He is stretched out on the bed as close as he can get to me, sleeping in the hotel room in Knoxville, TN.

My wonderful, darling, loving boy still not ready to give up!
